A Heartfelt Reminder: What We Do for Our Community and How You Can Be a Part of It

Dear Community Members,

At Tuolumne Park and Recreation District, our mission is simple yet powerful: to create a space where everyone in our community can learn, grow, and connect—at no to little cost. We work tirelessly to offer a wide range of activities, events, and services that bring people together and foster a sense of belonging. From maintaining our beautiful parks to organizing fun events like bingo nights, concerts, car shows, and more, we strive to create opportunities for all ages to come together and enjoy what our district has to offer.

Who We Are and What We Do

We are more than just a community center—we’re a dedicated team of passionate individuals working to make our district a better place. Our small but mighty staff oversees everything from organizing public events and classes to maintaining our parks and facilities. We bring you the activities you love at a cost that’s affordable or even free because we believe that everyone deserves access to these opportunities.

It Takes Money to Make Magic Happen

While many of our events and activities come at no (or little) cost to you, they aren't free for us to provide. It takes funding to keep our parks beautiful, our facilities running, and our events enjoyable for everyone. We rely on a combination of property tax allotments, a maintenance contract, grants, donations, fundraising efforts, and rental fees to make all of this possible. The reality is that we couldn’t do it without the support of our wonderful community.

How You Can Support Us

Every donation and volunteer effort goes a long way in helping us continue to serve our community. There are many ways you can get involved:

• Make a Donation: Every dollar counts in helping us keep our activities affordable and our facilities in top shape.
• Rent Our Facilities: Host your next event at our community center! The rental fees directly support our work.
• Join Our Fundraising Events: Whether it’s a bingo night or another exciting event, your participation helps us raise the funds we need to keep going.
• Teach a Class: Do you have a skill or knowledge you'd like to share? We’re currently looking for instructors willing to lead classes in art, dance, finance, cooking, and more. You can either rent the center to run your own class or let us handle all the logistics while you focus on teaching!

Calling All Instructors!

We’re expanding our offerings and need people just like you to share your skills with the community. Here are some ways you can get involved:

1. Host Your Own Class: Rent our community center and manage everything on your own terms.
2. Teach with Our Support: Set your schedule and fee, and we’ll take care of the advertising, sign-ups, and payments.
3. Volunteer Your Time: Offer your skills for free or at a reduced fee, and we’ll handle the rest.

Our goal is to bring even more learning and fun to the community, and we need your help to do it. If you're interested in teaching a class, please reach out to us!
