Hazard Mitigation Plan

Emblem with symbols for fire, flood, storm & lightning, titled "HAZARD MITIGATION."

As part of a hazard mitigation planning process, we need your input in identifying potential hazards, discussing strategies to address risks, and determining mitigation actions to enhance our community's resilience.

We invite you to share your insights on the following aspects:

Identifying Hazards: What hazards do you believe our community is at risk of? This could include natural disasters such as floods, wildfires, earthquakes, severe storms, or human-made hazards like industrial accidents or public health emergencies.

Addressing Risks: What measures do you think we can take to address these risks effectively? This may involve community preparedness, infrastructure improvements, land use planning, or other strategies.

Mitigation Actions: What specific actions do you suggest we implement to mitigate the impact of identified hazards? These could range from early warning systems and evacuation plans to infrastructure upgrades and community education initiatives.

Informational Output: What do you believe are the best ways to receive information about hazard risk, mitigation and preparedness? This could be social media platforms, town meetings, mass email, etc.

Your input will play a vital role in shaping our hazard mitigation plan and ensuring the safety and well-being of our community members.

Please share your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions!
